Pool Mate Non-Foaming Algae Rid is a powerful and highly concentrated, chelated copper-based algaecide. It is recognized as the strongest non-foaming algaecide for killing and preventing green algae. This fast-acting, high-quality, non-foaming 7.41% copper algaecide effectively eliminates most types of algae without clouding the water. The residue remains in solution indefinitely, providing long-lasting residual effects, making it ideal for spring start-up.

Users should wait a minimum of 10 minutes after treatment before entering the pool, as the algaecide requires time to distribute evenly throughout the pool water. It is important to note that this algaecide should not be mixed with soap or other cleaners, nor should it be pre-mixed with other water-treating chemicals. These chemicals must be handled separately.

To use the product, dilute the appropriate amount with at least nine parts water and pour it directly into the pool along the edges while the filter and pump are in operation. For the most effective results, apply the initial dose of 2 oz. per 5,000 gallons of pool water under sunny conditions if the pool is free of visible algae or at the start of the season. If algae growth is visible, apply the initial dose, then vacuum the pool after 24 hours to remove the dead algae. If the pool is heavily infested with algae, brush the algae spots, vacuum, clean, and scrub the pool walls before applying the initial dose and vacuuming the remaining algae debris.

For maintenance, apply 1 oz. of the product per 5,000 gallons of pool water every 5 to 7 days. However, if the pool has experienced heavy or prolonged rainfall, high prevailing temperatures, or heavy swimming use, the maintenance dose should be applied more frequently.
