Pool Mate Black Algaecide is a 60% poly algaecide specifically designed to prevent and eliminate black, green, and yellow/mustard algae in swimming pools. This product effectively clears up cloudy water without affecting the pool's pH, causing stains, or leaving any residue. It is a non-foaming and non-metallic solution, making it suitable for use on all pool types, including vinyl, fiberglass, concrete, and gunite.

To prevent algae growth, use Pool Mate Black Algaecide weekly. For visible algae growth, apply 16 oz. of the product per 10,000 gallons of pool water. If the water is clean, the initial treatment requires 9 oz. of the product per 10,000 gallons. For regular routine maintenance, use 4 oz. of the product per 10,000 gallons of pool water on a weekly basis.

It's important to note that pools with heavy algae growth must be cleaned prior to using this product. Twenty-four hours after treating visible algae growth, the algae debris must be removed through standard cleaning procedures. To apply the product, dilute it with at least nine parts water before pouring the required amount into a plastic watering can and sprinkling the solution around the edge of the pool while maintaining constant pool circulation.
